Checklist for Buying Used/Repaire Laptop

  1. Body condition – check for scratches or broken parts

  2. Check manufacturing date – cmd > systeminfo > BIOS Version

  3. Prefer business series like EliteBook, Latitude, ThinkPad

  4. Check battery condition – cmd > powercfg /batteryreport (battery health > 80% is good)

  5. Online display test

  6. Hard disk check – Ctrl + Shift + Esc > Performance > SSD/HDD
    ↳ HDD health > 80% is good
    ↳ SSD health > 75% is good

  7. Keyboard online test

  8. Webcam check 

  9. Speaker test – System Sound > Playback > Speakers > Configure > Test

  10. Fingerprint sensor check

  11. Bluetooth check

  12. Wi-Fi check

  13. LAN port check

  14. Touchscreen test
